Indonesian Students Welcome President Prabowo in Singapore

The visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to Singapore’s National Day celebrations on Saturday (Aug. 9) deeply impacted Indonesian students studying in the Lion City. Belinda, Donata, Daniel, and Ardi, four students from the Singapore Institute of Management, had the opportunity to interact directly with President Prabowo. For them, meeting the President was more than just a casual encounter; it brought a sense of closeness to their homeland while being in a foreign country. Belinda expressed how meeting President Prabowo made her feel connected to home, especially during Singapore’s National Day Parade. She and her friends were grateful for the chance to meet and shake hands with President Prabowo and members of the Kabinet Merah Putih. Donata shared her happiness in meeting President Prabowo again, emphasizing how rare and special it was to meet a President in person for the first time. The students felt that this encounter was a memorable moment that brought them closer to their national identity.
