President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates from his recent state visits to various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo discussed the breakthrough achieved with the European Union after 10 years of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting, described as cordial and relaxed, touched on current issues and highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour, which included a visit to Belarus to explore potential trade opportunities. Emphasizing Indonesia’s strong international standing and commitment to neutrality, Prabowo highlighted the nation’s reputation for not joining any political blocs and its application to become a member of the OECD. He reiterated Indonesia’s stance of respecting other countries’ sovereignty and seeking friendships without interference in their internal affairs. The meeting also included State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo.
