Praying for Prabowo and Peace at Indonesia’s Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day celebration in Indonesia at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, was filled with enthusiasm as citizens from various regions participated in a cultural parade leading towards the State Palace. Among the lively festivities, heartfelt prayers and hopes were voiced for President Prabowo Subianto and the country’s future.

Aryati, a resident of Karanganyar Subdistrict, Sawah Besar District, expressed her gratitude for being part of the parade. She eagerly shared, “We were invited to join the parade for Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day. I’m so happy, so excited, to be able to take part in today’s event.” She expressed her hope for Indonesia’s progress, saying, “My hope is for Indonesia to advance, to be more prosperous, especially for all Indonesian people.” Aryati also offered a special prayer for the President’s health and for peace, prosperity, and harmony for all Indonesian citizens.

Echoing similar sentiments, a companion of Aryati emphasized the importance of national unity. She hoped for positive changes benefitting the people, ensuring health, prosperity, and safety for all while advocating for peace and brotherhood amongst different ethnic and religious groups.

Satim, a resident of Kampung Rawa, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, shared his happiness and pride in joining and enlivening the celebration. He expressed his wishes for greater success, progress, prosperity, and welfare for Indonesia, along with a desire for strong leadership that genuinely protects and serves the people.

For these citizens, the presence at Monas during this historical moment went beyond mere celebration. It symbolized their love for the nation and their collective hope for lasting peace in Indonesia.
