Sekolah Rakyat: A Lifeline for Working-Class Families
In the bustling city of Jakarta, Juwita and Dian breathe a little easier each morning. Thanks to the People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat) program launched in the 2025–2026 academic year, the financial burden of providing school essentials for their children has begun to lift. Juwita, a mother of a diligent son named Fachri, expressed her gratitude during a visit to Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Pertama 6 Jakarta. Fachri, now living in the school dormitory, has not only become more independent but also developed a healthier daily routine.
Dian, another parent with a son named Aditya in the same school, also shared her heartfelt thanks for the program. She believes that Sekolah Rakyat is the key to instilling discipline in her son and providing financial relief for their family. The positive transformation in Aditya is not only seen in his attitude but also in his physical well-being, with noticeable improvements in his weight and cleanliness.
For parents like Juwita and Dian, Sekolah Rakyat goes beyond education; it is a lifeline for families struggling to afford proper schooling. Thanks to President Prabowo Subianto’s initiative, these working-class families now have their children’s education fully supported, from meals to uniforms to textbooks. Juwita and Dian expressed their profound gratitude to the President for creating Sekolah Rakyat and providing a renewed sense of hope for their children’s future.
In the midst of the challenges faced by working-class families, Sekolah Rakyat shines as a beacon of hope where children thrive, families find relief, and the future appears brighter. The program not only transforms the lives of individual students but also uplifts entire communities by providing access to quality education and a promising future.
