This announcement was made by Prabowo following a productive meeting with Lula at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília. Prabowo warmly welcomed the plan to bring Brazilian businesspeople to Indonesia, emphasizing the potential for enhancing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of trade and investment. He highlighted that Indonesia and Brazil share common interests and have significant economic potential due to their large populations and abundant natural resources. Prabowo also commended Brazil’s progress in agriculture and bioenergy and expressed Indonesia’s interest in learning from Brazil’s achievements in these fields. Furthermore, he appreciated Lula’s support for Indonesia’s plan to send technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations and agricultural technologies. In addition to attending the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Prabowo’s visit to Brazil included discussions about Lula’s upcoming visit to Indonesia in October, where preparations are underway for a special celebration marking Lula’s 80th birthday.
