Prabowo Macron Visit: Insightful Indonesia Military Academy Experience

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron at the Indonesian Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, marking a significant moment in diplomatic relations. The two leaders arrived at the academy together, sharing a helicopter ride from Yogyakarta International Airport and wearing matching white shirts as they proceeded towards a Maung tactical vehicle. Showing camaraderie and mutual respect, President Prabowo took the wheel with President Macron by his side. The visit, which included full military honors such as Honor Guards, Mounted Cavalry, and local students waving flags, was a highlight of Macron’s official state visit to Indonesia. Prabowo personally extended an invitation to Macron to observe the cadet education and training at the academy, underscoring the importance of strengthening bilateral defense cooperation between Indonesia and France.
