President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia received a warm welcome from Indonesian citizens upon his arrival in New Delhi, India. Nadine Ardiani Chairunisa, an Indonesian student at Amity University, eagerly awaited his arrival along with fellow student Demas Fadel Anggara. Despite some delays, they were excited and nervous to greet Prabowo. Other Indonesians present, such as Rajendra, Marvell, and Adyatama, were grateful for Prabowo’s personal gesture of shaking hands with them. They expressed hope for a successful working visit and a promising future under his leadership.
Prabowo’s visit to India not only marks a new chapter in bilateral relations but also commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and India. Before departing from Jakarta, Prabowo expressed pride in being invited as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, considering it a great honor for Indonesia. He emphasized the participation of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations. The visit includes scheduled meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss enhancing cooperation on various strategic issues.
