Kemensos Belum Mengambil Tindakan Terhadap Rekomendasi Bawaslu Takalar Terkait Oknum PKH yang Mengarahkan KPM Untuk Mendukung Caleg

Kemensos (Ministry of Social Affairs) has yet to address the recommendation from the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) regarding the alleged misuse of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) by certain individuals to support political candidates in Takalar, Indonesia.

Bawaslu Takalar recently issued a recommendation to Kemensos after uncovering evidence that some individuals involved in the PKH program were using their positions to sway beneficiaries to support specific political candidates. The investigation revealed that these individuals, who are also known as Calon Legislatif (Caleg), were exploiting their influence within the PKH program to garner support for their electoral campaigns.

The PKH program was designed to provide financial assistance to underprivileged families and improve their access to education and healthcare. However, reports of political manipulation within the program raise concerns about the misuse of public resources for personal gain.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Kemensos has not taken any action to address the issue or respond to Bawaslu’s recommendation. This lack of response has sparked criticism and calls for accountability from the Ministry regarding the misuse of the PKH program for political purposes.

The alleged misconduct not only undermines the integrity of the PKH program but also raises questions about the neutrality and transparency of the electoral process in Indonesia. It is imperative for the government to promptly investigate and address these allegations to ensure that public resources are not exploited for partisan interests.

In addition to addressing the specific allegations in Takalar, Kemensos should also take proactive measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in other regions. This includes implementing stricter oversight and monitoring of the PKH program to prevent any form of political interference or manipulation.

Furthermore, Kemensos should collaborate with other government agencies, civil society organizations, and communities to raise awareness and promote transparency within the PKH program. By working together, stakeholders can collectively safeguard the integrity of the program and ensure that its benefits reach those who are truly in need.

The misuse of the PKH program for political gain is a disservice to the vulnerable families who rely on its support, and it undermines the government’s efforts to alleviate poverty and improve social welfare. Kemensos must take swift and decisive action to address the issue and uphold the principles of fairness, accountability, and integrity within the PKH program. Failure to do so would not only erode public trust in the program but also compromise the legitimacy of the electoral process in Indonesia.
